Oh, dear...



I am sadly disappointed in this puzzle.  I've worked two from this company before, and they were fine.  And the picture on the front of the box for this one is fine, too.

The puzzle itself, however, is horribly pixellated.  I mean it looks like it's nothing but colored dots.  So that up there is as far as I've gotten and it's been about three days.  I'm trying to decide to keep going, because the whole picture might look okay and my brother did say he wanted it - or scrap it and pick another puzzle?  I don't know...

A quick look at how I sort 500 piece puzzles from this particular company (because I have lots of them!):



All turned over first - I do this with every puzzle, no matter the company - then sorted.  Short pieces, long pieces, edge pieces, the four corners, and any pieces that were still stuck together, because I hate it when you have to tear them apart and the bottom layer rips.

I had been saving this one to work on my birthday!

I have gotten some puzzled looks when I showed it to family, asking why the cake says 'Birthday Happy'.

I tell them it's really Yoda's cake XD

Secrets of the Rainforest - 300 Pieces

20x27, by The Great American Puzzle Company.  A really big puzzle, lots of fun, and another with all its pieces rescued from a yard sale by my Mum!  It's all ready for the kiddo's next visit :D

It's very big and with it's gigantic pieces, it took up my whole table, leaves and all!

**EDIT**  I just realized that the post of the box for this is gone or misplaced - it should have explained that my Mum bought some kid's puzzles at a yard sale for the little boy she babysits and wanted me to work them to make sure the pieces were all there!

This puzzle actually had no name, so I call it 'Buddies'

Some Kid's Puzzles

My Mum bought a few kid's puzzles at a yard sale for when her little not-grandbaby (she just claims he is, lol!) comes to visit.  He's three and loves puzzles, especially ones that are above his age group.  She asked me to work them first to make sure all the pieces are there, so you will be seeing them for the next few days. I've done two so far and put the rest back for later.
